About Il Gi
Established in Lancashire, Northwest England for over 30 years; Il GI Taekwondo is a full member organisation of the UK Taekwondo Development Council
Il GI is a traditional Korean title which means 'One together', symbolising a family or group working together in harmony.
Grandmaster Waddington (9th Dan black belt) is our Chief Instructor and grading officer within the Il GI Association and is responsible for most of the coloured belt grading tests conducted by the Association. All club instructors are experienced Black Belts who work under the direct and close supervision of the senior Il GI Instructor.
The Association offers:
- Regular gradings
- Training seminars
- Competitions
- Traditional and Sport Taekwondo training
The Association can boast many Taekwondo Sport Champions.
